2023 | The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston Review

This was the best book to kick off Fall. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves slightly spooky but not creepy RomComs, where a writer falls in love with her editor.

It was so cute, and I could not handle how many parts of this book I wanted to tab and highlight to keep forever. There are so many great quotes and funny tidbits to choose from that I don’t know if I could pick a favorite. … More 2023 | The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston Review

2022 Review Series | Every Summer After by Carley Fortune

Welcome to the next installment of my 2022 review series. Aka, every book I read but didn’t talk about on here until now. Today’s novel is Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, my top read last year. If any book gives off the summer vibe, it’s this one. It reminded me of my favorite book series growing up regarding the magical feeling it gave me about summer.

I was late to the game when I read this, but I thought to myself, “Why didn’t I read this sooner?” once I’d finished it. That’s probably the same reaction I’ll have to her newest novel, Meet Me at the Lake, once I get around to reading it. … More 2022 Review Series | Every Summer After by Carley Fortune

2022 Review Series | Taylor Jenkins Reid Books | 6 out of 8 | Spoilers |

I spent late last summer reading through most of Taylor’s books in a short period of time.

Once I read her novella on Amazon titled, Evidence of the Affair, I was hooked on her writing style and plot development.

Many readers know her for her novels that started being published in 2017, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones and the Six, or Malibu Rising. Three stories which became BookTok staples in 2020-2022.

Her universe of characters spans multiple decades but has cameos from other stories, including the following: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones and the Six, Malibu Rising, and Carrie Soto is Back. While they aren’t large appearances, and you don’t need to read the books in any certain order to understand the plot, this is the order in which many people will read them in order to get the full story and understand this entirety universe TJR created. … More 2022 Review Series | Taylor Jenkins Reid Books | 6 out of 8 | Spoilers |

Why Reading Goals Take Away My Relaxing Benefits of Reading

How do you relax? I got back into frequent reading a few years ago. After being a heavy reader when I was younger, I got a bit sidetracked by responsibilities (school ha). Once I started picking up more books, I started updating my Goodreads. Which, if you utilize Goodreads, comes with the fun feature of … More Why Reading Goals Take Away My Relaxing Benefits of Reading

2022 Review Series | The Wild Series by K.A. Tucker

The Wild Series by K.A. Tucker is one I’m still thinking about nearly a year later (and considering rereading).

I believe I saw these books recommended on TikTok or Instagram, but the premise sounded great. After finishing the three novels and one novella, I hope a fourth novel will come out. I check K.A. Tucker’s Instagram occasionally to see if the possibility may become reality. No luck yet, unfortunately. … More 2022 Review Series | The Wild Series by K.A. Tucker

2022 Review Series | The Princess Diaries | Books 1-11 Including Novellas | From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess | Books 1 & 2 | Spoilers

Last Summer I took on the task of reading and listening to the entire Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot only to have her come out with ANOTHER book in March (The Quarantine Diaries) which I have not finished yet, but when I do, I’ll update this post. I started the From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess Series, but was insanely burnt out after my powering through of this series in THREE WEEKS. Yes, three weeks. Bless audio books and 1.5x speed. Let’s dive in because I have A LOT of thoughts. … More 2022 Review Series | The Princess Diaries | Books 1-11 Including Novellas | From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess | Books 1 & 2 | Spoilers

2022 Review Series | Hook, Line, and Sinker – Tessa Bailey

Once I read this story, I wanted about three more books about these two sisters. While Piper, from It Happened One Summer, is a wild child who’s calmed down by the end of the book, Hannah, from Hook, Line, and Sinker, is the much chiller, not in your face, sister. Honestly she’s the one I identify with more out of the two. The series is a quick, fun read. Both come in between 350-400 pages, but you’ll be flying through them at an alarming rate. … More 2022 Review Series | Hook, Line, and Sinker – Tessa Bailey

2022 Review Series | Zodiac Academy Books 1-7

As promised in my most recent update, I’ll be posting my reviews from 2022 and 2023 up until the present.

First up is a compilation of the Zodiac Academy series books 1-7. I first heard of this series on TikTok last year. I read books 1-3 in March and April before taking a much needed break and finishing books 4-7 (really half of 8) in November and December. The series is full fantasy and called the adult version of Harry Potter. … More 2022 Review Series | Zodiac Academy Books 1-7
