My Review

This sweet story will leave you with the biggest smile. So few books leave me thinking, “Aw, how cute!” at the end, and this was one of them. Meet Me in the Margins ended similar to a Hallmark movie. We get to see a bit into the future at the end, which is always a favorite part of mine.

The chemistry between our main character, Savannah, and her secret manuscript editor is palpable and adorable. The written conversations they have as he gives input to her book are enjoyable to read. However, their discussions happen in the margins of her manuscript. The mystery editor gives her feedback via criticism and a bit of flirting.

The plot was good, but my favorite parts were reading Savannah and the mystery editor’s commentary back and forth throughout the story. There were a few plot points I was confused about, but it didn’t take away from the story or the budding romance.

Aside from the romance, we get an inside look into Savannah’s life with her family and how she always feels like she’s underperforming compared to her sister. The subplot was funny and, at some points, had me wanting to yell at the characters. But, you know a book is engaging when you want to interact with the characters.

I’m rating four stars because I enjoyed the banter, subplot, and writing. It was an easy and enjoyable story!
